Q. Is it true that the picture will never fade?

A. The image will not fade or wash off. The image is not printed or heat transferred. It is a true knitted fabric using your Favorite Photograph. Each throw is processed and inspected before shipping to guarantee your satisfaction.

Q. What are the care instructions for a Personalized Throw?

A. Personalized Throws are 100% machine washable in cold water. Air or tumble dry, gentle cycle. And of course, you should never use bleach when washing this product. They are washable just like any piece of clothing would be!

Q. How do I choose the best photo?

A. Almost any photo or flat artwork can be made into a Personalized Throw Blanket. The best results will come from a photo that is clear and has good contrast. Photo Recommendations: Image may be color or black-and-white. We will convert it to grayscale. The image for this product will always appear in grayscale. Image must be at least 240x240 pixels.
 

Q. What is the recommended maximum number of images I can have in my Personalized Throw?

A. The rule of thumb for this is quite simple.1-3-5-9, or 1 image for our Photo Pillow (our smallest item), 3 for a 30x40, 5 for the 40x60, and 9 for the 60x90. While photos that exceed the 1-3-5-9 rule can be made, the reproduction quality diminishes with each additional image and these orders will be made at the buyer’s risk.

Q. Can I add text to my my Personalized Throw? 

A.  Yes. We can personalize some throws by adding custom text to your order. The Original, Border & Logo Throws may have 1 Line (16 characters) added to the image. The Personalized Color Throw may only have text added to the Color Splash Border. Only the Photo Pillow (both Original & Logo) and Personalized Photo Sweater do not offer text.

Q. Does it come in color?

A. Knitting technology only allows a maximum of 4 colors. After extensive research we have found that the Personalized Throws look best in grayscale. If you want a touch of color, see the  Custom Throw Blankets.

Q. Can I send a color picture?

A.  Any picture can create your Personalized Gift. Both color and black & white can be used. And again- we will convert it to grayscale for you. Size should be limited to a minimum of 3"x5"  to a maximum of 8½" x 11".

Q. Can my photo be cropped?

A. Yes. We can custom crop your photograph when required or requested. On some occasions we will crop your photo to focus on the main subject. By doing so, you receive a better product.

Q. How long does it take to make?

A. Fulfillment is 10-14 business days from the day we receive the photo & payment (extra time required during the holiday season). Please be aware that Personalized Throws paid with check will not begin production until check has cleared the bank - then a fulfillment of  10-14 days.

Q. How much does shipping cost?

A. Shipping starts at  $7.95 for orders up to $75. Totals exceeding $75 will be $10.95 shipping. We only ship UPS ground within the continental US unless otherwise specified. All International Customers are welcome- please contact us with your address and a customized invoice will be sent to you reflecting the new shipping cost.

Q. Can I print the picture and then mail it to you?

A. Printouts do not produce quality results. It would be better to email or snail mail the image using the instructions on our website. If the original photograph is the only copy - I recommend having a duplicate made, and send the duplicate.

Q. How do I email the file? What image type and quality?

A. After payment is made you will receive a confirmation email that allows you to upload your image.  Scan pictures at 300 DPI and in grayscale. Save file as .jpg with minimal compression. Please note that images must be between 60K-800K. Any image under 60K will be returned, and another image will be requested. These files are too small and will not produce quality results.

Q. How do I pay for my order?

Q. What is your return policy?

A. We take great pride in the production of each Personalized Throw order. However, in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect in your Personalized Throw Blanket, just call us within 7 days of receiving it, return your unwanted item, and we will remake it at no charge to you.
